Default Belt Issues Again, Look at this poop

I dont know if you've seen my previous post:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-troubles.html

Long story short,

Replaced original 07' belt May 2011 due to belt breaking.
Replaced May 2011 belt May 2012 due to approx 20 teeth missing
Replaced May 2012 belt approx 600mi later due to belt splitting into 2 pieces (pics below).

WTF is going on?

Original belt replaced by HD Dealer with HD Belt
2nd Belt replaced by Indy with After Market Belt, who say he saw nothing wrong other than the previous belt was too tight (working on him for compensation, if I dont get it he will be outed)
3rd Belt replaced by HD Dealer with HD Belt (currently what im running now w/approx 500mi on it, seems fine)

On the forth belt in 5 years, well really on the 3rd belt in 1 year.

Not sure of the condition of the original belt as it flew off into the road
Second belt teeth missing
Third belt split

All seem to have a different problem.

Mechanics say they cant find anything wrong that would cause belt troubles...

maybe the rear tire/pulley was not completely aligned or something and it was eating up the belts

how's your rear tire wear

Cool

The only comment I can offer is one passed on to me by an indy who builds hot bikes, that most belt problems are due to them being too tight. We have members on HDF running 120s and even bigger with stock belts, so any extra performance in your bike over stock is small beer in comparison. It should be holding up with ease.

Perhaps it is those wheel stands you keep doing.....

Oh, and I forgot to say that when the Indy put on the Aftermarket belt he mentioned that he left it loose, more than normal loose I guess.

Dude, I have 23000 miles on my 07 RK. Original belt & no probs. Something is F'd on yours. I have only seen one belt on a HD self destruct and it was due to a large rock being picked up. On my sleds I have ripped a few apart. Usually it was due to a clutch alignment issue which would suggest to me that something is out of line on your bike. That or someone is screwing with you. Just my .02.

Man, I have never seen anything like the problems you've had. I agree with others that it almost has to be in the alignment or could there be something rubbing around the pulley?

At a conservative cost estimate of between $1000.00 & $1500.00 per belt installation I'd suggest it would be time to invest in a new bike.
