Default Combining different type tires?

my rear stock dunlop is worn out but my front stock dunlop only has 6k on it. want to switch to elite 3's what handeling issues positive or negative would there be putting an elite 3 on the rear then switching the front to an E 3 when it wears out?
Thanks

I'm in the same boat and am interested to see what the responses are.

I have put mixed tires on different bikes without any issues, but never one as heavy as my SG.

It's not a problem. I ran the stock Dunlop on my Streetglide with the E3 on the rear. I would recommend going to the E3 on the rear as soon as possible and when the front wears out switch that to the E3.

I couldn't tell any difference between running the stock tire on the front E3 on rear or running E3's front and back.

An American Elite rear and Elite 3 front just arrived at my doorstep today. I'll have them on in a week or two. The only reason i'm doing it is because i couldnt find the same tire, front and rear, from any tire manufacturer in the stock 11' FLTRX wheel sizes. It'll be fine.

I don't run mixed match tires. But, then I don't run the Duncraps either. I have a practically new Dunlop front tire if anybody wants it.

I have 1000 miles now on the e3 rear D402 front and it is fine. I still get a slight wobble on bridge grates in the front but rear tracks straight. My 402 is almost new and I won't be changing it untill it is at 2/32. You will like the e3 it will get you into your floorboards.

Thread wear concerns me and so does tire age (not mileage).
