Combining different type tires?
#11
I have run mixed tires before and there is no issue, had an E3 on the back with a stock up front. never knew they where different, now I have a commander II on the front with a E3 on the back, when it wears out it will be replaced with a commander II. I worry about wear not age mine doesn't sit long enough to age. 07 UC w/ 85K

I've been riding since the 60s and have mixed tyres several times over the years. It either works or it doesn't! By that I mean that sometimes the tyres seem fine together, but occasionally I haven't liked the feel of the bike at all.
So I suggest you try it. Remember to run your new tyre for a couple of hundred miles to bed it in, then check tyre pressure. That alone may be far enough to ring any warning bells, if that is going to happen! If you don't like the way the bike feels, change the other tyre to the same brand.
