Sportster 1200C, Am I nuts?
I have a RKC and was thinking of adding a Sportster 1200C to the garage. Before you think I have lost my mind, I sometimes just want a real simple bar hopper. So I was thinking about doing the custom build program and getting one in black denium with mini apes and a solo seat. I know it may be a waste, but it sure seems fun to change up the ride once in a while.
What do you think? Am I being foolish?

I've always admired the looks of the Sportsters....but that bubble bursts the moment I plop my backside down in the saddle. They just seem Soooo small. (And I'm not a large man by any means..5'9" 180lbs.) Personal preference, but if I were looking for a bar hopper, I'd find me a used Night Train, and of course, add FuelMotos 107 kit so I could be the first to the next bar!! LOL

I had one. Great bike! And it's not just a bar hopper. I did several long day trips on it. If I could have justified keeping two bikes (my wife is just a passenger and my sons are all grown and gone) I would have. And don't listen to the crap about them being too small. I'm 6'2, 215 with a 35 inch inseam. The XL1200C has forward controls so it is very comfortable. I put an engine guard and highway pegs on it for long days and spent as much as 12 hours in the saddle. (On the last issue, though, upgrade the seat. The stock is a bit punishing. I had a Sundowner on mine.)
Go for it!
