I sold my 1200c when I bought the RK. Wish I had kept it. They are easy to work on and great to ride.

Love sportsters, not a big fan of the 1200C, can't get into the whole riser situation on that thing.

Just took mine out this past week. Really nimble compared to the Limited. Thought about selling it, but I think I'm gonna hold onto it.

My youngest daughter that still lives at home and goes to college just bought a new 1200 nightster; of course I had to break it in for her

Feels like jumping on a mountain bike after getting off the RGU with wife on the back and bags about 1/2 loaded.

The new rubber mount engines are nice compared to the 2000 sporty my wife used to ride.
If I wasn't 6'-2" and 250 pounds, I'd never think twice about having one to blast around on.

I have been looking. I found 2006 tricked out with custom paint and buckets full of chrome with 3000 miles on it but they want a fair amount for it. I may put in a low ball offer and see what happens. All I would have to do is put on some forward controls and miniapes and I would have something that looks like the new 72 for thousands less.

I also have found a couple of used 883L's. They would take a bit more work but are about $3000 less so there would be plenty of money for mods.

I am getting closer to pulling a trigger but still worry I am being foolish. I have the $$ but was raised by conservative parents damn the luck. I keep telling myself that at 58 years old, I am probably just spending my wife's next husband's money.

Economy must be picking up. I called the dealer on the 2006 and it was sold. Called on two 07 883 L's on Craig's list that I could customize to my spec and they were both gone. Maybe I will just need to save my pennies until I can afford a new "72".
