Default Heavy breather & lowers?

I like the look of the cone style breather but I noticed on the K&N website it says they will not fit with lowers installed?? I noticed another members pic here yesterday with that setup and it does appear you would loose access to the right lower or is there a shorter version available that will work with lowers??

Yes, Harley does sell a shorter version that works with lowers but not if they have the CVO speakers in them.

With the lowers and HB, you need the compact filter. Not much room to get into the glove box or add speakers even with the compact filter.

The compact filter will not work with non vented Road Glide lowers with glove boxes.

I have had both filters...the compact filter will not allow you to use the right lower glove box. I ended up going with the Harley SE Ventilator filter.

I was thinking this when I saw another members pic yesterday. I like my lowers more than a different air filter so I'll pass!

I bought a Spectre cone filter from Amazon. It's a lot shorter and a little wider and allows some access to the glove box. Wouldn't work with the locking doors. Would work with speakers but would be close. Best part is it was $20.00.
