The problem is that these HTCC parts are disc from H.D. and might have an issue finding them.
Any time you build up a motor you open up the possibility of a failure.
especially with high compression.

Well just left the dealer. The lower end is toast from the high compression build. Working on a quote for going with the 103. Should know price and availability in a few hours. Rough estimate with labor is $4,000 to $4,500. Thanks for all the input guys!

88" black and chrome reman is $3100. Not sure on the lead time though. Might be worth it just to tralier it home and deal with it there. Sorry this happened on such a great trip.

I believe the shop Stro was referring to in Cody is Cody Custom Cycles.

Update.... The rear inner cam bearing failed which was the start of the destruction of the piston and lower end. The cases are being sent to a local machine shop as the inner cam bearing failure took out some of the case. The machine shop will be able repair the case with a sleeve for the inner bearing. Currently waiting on parts for the 103 build. Looks like Saturday is the soonest to get back on the road. If all goes well.

I hope you can relax and enjoy part of the trip anyway. Maybe the HD dealer will rent you a bike and let the money apply to the rebuild. Or at least part of it.
Good luck and keep us posted.
