Default Back from Rolling Thunder 2012 [PICS]

What a day!!! My first time there and it was quite an experience. Rode in with a group of about 50. Parked a block over from the Monument and watch most of the parade from the street. Awesome to see so many people with the same love of riding gather to pay tribute to those who have served our fine country.

Very nice, I really want to do this some day. I used to live in northern Virginia for 14 years, I miss it a lot.

Question were you able to drive by the Marine without getting choked up even a little bit?

This was my 3rd trip to Rolling Thunder, but on my 1st trip I did get a little choked up. Also, he stands there saluting in that 90 degree heat for 3 hours.

Hubby and several of his buddies went - won't get back until Tuesday night. He's been there several times, I've been there once. That soldier soluting the boots, rifle and helmet is so very sad. Really gets to the meaning of Memorial Day!
