I've got mine on the 1" position. I thought it handled better than the original set up that way, but still needed to get lower so lowered the front end (springs) by an inch too. Still handles well, as the original set up - although I'm not an aggressive riders, so depending on your style, YMMV.

I've got the rear shock air at something like 3 or 5, and it rides fine. Of course I weigh 130 - so add my gear and maybe 150-160 total, so that may or may not help.
