Another Dealer tire story...
Time for new tires, front and rear, for the 09'. I already spoke to my mechanic and got a price installed fro American Elites. For the heck of it I called the local Harley store and asked what they would charge. The service writer looked up the price for the OEM tires (which I am sure are cheaper than the Elites), he told me I was in luck because there was a tire sale going on. Total price out the door for the tire installed, labor, and shop supplies.... $556 !
He asked when I wanted to set up an appointment, I told him I would get back to him ...

If $471 covers both tire that seems reasonable IMO. I went to local dealer ast week and they said just the cost of rear tire alone was $280.00 I believe their Labor if an hour is $80.00. So if that labor rate is correct, for one tire $360. I had front replaced per bulletin with D408 at 5,300 miles and still looks to be in good shape. I have 21,000 on the back and it still shows life. These dual compound tires are very steep at the dealer. Dunlop is about as proud of their product as H-D is of theirs. Good luck with it.
