Rear engine mount information
I've read a lot of threads on here about the vibration from a badfront engine mount and I believe that's what I'm feeling on my 06 Ultra. I can feel a vibration in the footboards and the seat all through the RPM range that I didn't have a month ago. Should I go with another OEM part, or is there an aftermarket mount superior to the HD mount and who sells it? Also, could anyone tell me how the rear of the engine is mounted to the frame? Does the rear have rubber mounts that go bad? If so, how do you check or replace them? Thanks

RE: Rear engine mount information
the tranny and engine are linked together...the missing link is on the rear...true track or ridestr8 correct that...without them the rear is a boss on the back of the tranny that the swingarm pivot bolt(long and thick) goes thru...problem is, its rubber and will deflect

According to HD the front mount is good for 10,000 miles,The rear must be the same. There is really no way to check other than visual. After market offers front motor mt limiters, poly mounts, for the rear all you have are limiters as well,Sta-Bo for example.Your vibration could be something other than rubbermounts.
