Default brooken fairing supports

I noticed my fairing was bouncing more than normal.
On the weekend I removed it to find all four mounts broken.
Has anyone come across this before and do you have any suggestions as to the best
way to repair or replace these.
Thanks

Have replaced mine a few times, then I had my neighbor weld them, no breaks since then. I think they might have come out with a heavier duty version but not sure. Good luck.

I think you're right, someone in the shop said there is a heavier version around. not sure if it's aftermarket or HD. Might want to look around the net/talk to the parts guys and see what you find. As much people have it happen, there has to be something around...Welding might be the cheapest route if you know someone who has the capability!

I bought the updated version from HD last summer and to date I have not had a broken fairing bracket.

Good luck!

About 3½ years ago I did this write-up after fixing one vertical bracket and modifying the other. To date I've no other breaks on the verticals, even after an accident that broke the outer fairing, although I've replaced 2-3 of the small horizontal brackets in 5½ years and 54k miles. Since changing to the new-generation horizontal brackets I've had no further breaks, but they've only been in for about a year, so only time will tell if they are more durable.

Here is another thread on adding an extra horizontal bracket to better support heavier speakers. You'll see some other links there which point to some other threads on this topic.
