Well, its been two business days and I still havent heard back JRK5892...
I got a hold of his partner. I sent in the pics and what color I was hoping for. Got my fingers crossed. I dont know what powder they use, but I found one on http://www.prismaticpowders.com called Super Chrome and it has a top layer of clear on it which is supposed to be really durable compared to normal Chrome. Picure is from their site of a car rim. My rim is below that. Considering I run dual discs I dont think the difference would be detrimental?
I spoke with Willyshiny and he told me that its $300.00 to rechrome it and $25.00 to strip the chrome + to and from shipping so I am looking at $33.00x2+$25+$300 to re-chrome the wheel for $391.00. I bought the wheel for 150+28 to ship and would put my cost at $569.00. Powder coating definitely sounds better and I was hoping to eBay my rim to help offset the cost. Still waiting to hear back from the other guy.
MIB i respond to all notifications within 24-48 hours. i never recieved your message on here or i would have responded right away... Sean just sent me over the wheels, i sent him back an estimate to get ahold of you.
to be honest... powder chrome is more of a silver than anything... here is a 2 tone we did for a forum member in the Chrome and gloss black... then laid a clear over the whole wheel
