Default Need help sick bike

Coming home from trip,my 09 ultra started to fall off and die while running down interstate. i made my way to the shoulder but the bike started running ok by the time i hit the shoulder. Pulled back on interstate, ran fine for a while but pulled same thing 4 more times before i got it home. The yellow light in center of speedometer came on when it started to die. Can anybody tell me whats going on?

Mines in the shop now. When it died it would start but die if I opened the throttle. Manager said they have a lot of problems with the wires to the plug for the fuel injector. Check each wire in the plug right behind the air filter. I had to be towed, and by the way its a 09 streetglide with 32,000 miles

The yellow "check engine" light indicates your bike stored a maint code...need to check the codes to see where the problem(s) are originating.

+1, sounds like possible plug or wire off hand though. Have code read though! Good luck!

Shop called today. He said the top of the fuel pump is warped and is losing pressure. He said it is common on the fuel injected bikes in warm climates. $300 dollars to replace the fuel pump

A clogged fuel filter might cause this same kind of problem. Won't pass enough fuel at highway speed but passes enough at slower speeds. I've had this happen on cars. Don't know about the ck engine light. Possibly no combustion due to lack of fuel or the like.

I haven't heard or read anything about a warped fuel pump.

Also, check the fuel line where it plugs into the tank. Disconnect and reconnect it.

Next time, check the DTC codes first. May save you a lot of trouble.
