Default Cracked Rear fender Strut - Part #??

Hey all - so I hear a rattling on the back of my bike today on the way into and home from work, figure something is loose and I'll check it out and tighten it up. Problem is a cracked right side strut down where the bag support tube and bumper mount.

I don't have a parts book and want to do some research for a new one - does anyone have the OEM part number?

2006 FLHTCI Right Side Strut.

THANKS!!!!!!

online parts finder:

http://www.shopronniesharleydavidson...idsonparts.htm

part numbers are shown in the cart and you can jot them down.

My buddy had the same thing happen to his RG last week. After checking around, he found a guy on Ebay that's making and selling the bracket made from stainless steel for $33. He bought one and put it on already and said it seems to be much stronger than the stock one. Here's a link to the Ebay one. I'm not sure if it's the same as your problem, but you might want to check it out.

Thanks for the info... good idea for a quick fix but not what I'm looking for, I'll just replace the strut its a pretty easy replacement.

Picking it up at local stealer for $70, cheaper on line but I want to get it done tonight not in 5 days lol.............

Default 72 flh

I see you bought your FLH in early 2010. I bought my 72 FLH at about the same time. Yours looks stock. I am in the process of returning mine to stock - as much as practical. You have any pic of yours I could see? I'm particularly interested in the paint scheme.

Right on avonflhtk! I also ordered this part after replacing my fender bracket 3 times. They are made of cheap metal. Works like a charm. Much stronger, You get one for the left side, and one for the right side too.

I meant that the original is made of cheap metal, not the replacements. They are stainless and very strong.
