Phase 7 Truck Lite Headlight and Passing Lights - I put my set on a couple weeks ago and really have seen the difference over the stock lights on my 2012 UL. Bought mine at discountfleetsupply.com and got them the next day.

How about the Phase 7 Headlamp paired with Phase 6 spot lamps? The spots would take care of daytime visibility and the Phase 7 for better lighting at night.

How long do those 894s last for you? GE gives them a 200 hour life rating. Not a lot if you want to leave them on all the time.

If you have a standard 881 bulb in your 08 Ultra , there are a few different bulbs you can go with.
The 881 is a PGJ13 right angle bulb , so here are a few alternatives
881 27.5 watt
886 50 watt
889 27 watt
894 37.5 watt
896 37.5 watt
898 37.5 watt
A couple have clear tips but the standard is usually black tipped.
All are PGJ13 and will pop right in the housings.
I have safely run 37.5 watt in mine and had no problems , 50 watt might be a little high for the stock wiring.
Aim is critical ( and a real pain) for the best results.
I personally run amber passing beams with the thought that oncoming traffic "sees" me better.

So that would be maybe 7-9k miles then on average?

Hrs wise I don't know but have 7k miles on them. Not a big expense and easy to replace so not a big deal to me. I did find a local Nokya dealer who'll sell me some 881 hyper yellows for $17 so I'll probably try those when the time comes to replace ....

This is a very worth wild addition to the bike, you have no problems being seen either day or night!
