I have the phase 7 and its pretty good in a strait line but banking in a corner because of the flat light spread it cuts your visable distance to about 20 feet, which is scary coming into a corner. Not sure if the spot lights would help or maybee an hid projector would of been better? Have any of you guys noticed this?

I'm currently using a pure yellow 894 bulb (37.5w), versus stock 881 27w bulb. Can't remember what brand I'm using but the Nokya 881 hyper yellow bulb would also work well. Below is info from another post:
If you have a standard 881 bulb in your 08 Ultra , there are a few different bulbs you can go with.
The 881 is a PGJ13 right angle bulb , so here are a few alternatives
881 27.5 watt
886 50 watt
889 27 watt
894 37.5 watt
896 37.5 watt
898 37.5 watt
A couple have clear tips but the standard is usually black tipped.
All are PGJ13 and will pop right in the housings.
I have safely run 37.5 watt in mine and had no problems , 50 watt might be a little high for the stock wiring.
Aim is critical ( and a real pain) for the best results.
I personally run amber passing beams with the thought that oncoming traffic "sees" me better.

On mine in above pics. Fit very well, actually better than with the stock lighting. Kuryakyn has a nice one with leds all around it if you are into that sort of bling.

$54.95 69622-99B Frenched Style Passing Lamp Trim Rings, Chrome (2)
$37.95 69627-99 Frenched Style Headlamp Trim Ring, Chrome
Was looking on another forum and poster said these rings install over the stock ones. Is that correct? No big deal but just curious before install...
Oh geez, just read install directions and got my answer... . Doh'

I got the full set of Phase 6 and love them. I am tosed up about the 7. I do like the way the 6 looks And think the highway lights put out more light. The 7 are nice though. Congrats

Is there somewhere that explains the difference(s) between phase 6 and phase 7?

Phase 6 uses about 6 led's. Three on for dim, and three more for brights.

Phase 7 has an improved reflector, with just one led for dim, and another single led for brights.

7 has longer and wider illumination at night, and phase 6 has better visability in the daytime.

Thanks for the info on the two. How do those compare for day and night lighting to the HD LED headlight?
