After watching threads like this and talking with a couple of shops that are doing the work I am determined to not fix a problem that doesn't yet exist. Since I got rid of the head pipe with the cat in it I figure the heat source that was killing the recalled part is gone.

I really don't trust those guys at all.
Our magnificent HD dealership refuses to sell the replacement brake switch as a spare part...
I'm glad I seldom use the rear brake while in cruise control

I purchased the switch and replaced it myself. Bled the brakes and all is just fine. Purchase a set of speed Bleeders and install them at the same time you change the switch. Makes it a snap to bleed and change brake fluid. Yes mine is ABS also.

I read somewhere we had to remove o-rings left under the original bleeders; do you confirm? I also bought the SB8125L-SS bleeders ...

I had my brake switch recall done a few days after my 1000-mile service (they were supposed to do both at the same time). I haven't noticed any ill effects.

Looks like SB8125L is the right one for my 2010 StreetGlide. Anyone know the correct one for a 2009 Softail Deluxe....not clear on the chart. thanks

Had mine done a few weeks ago and no problems.

Y'all need to have it done. There is no warning when it goes out and you have no rear brake. Yikes!

Rick...did you see any air bubbles come out during the bleed?
