Default Street-Glide.com Wind Deflectors?

Does anyone use Street-Glide.com Wind Deflectors?

I'm interested in any feedback regarding quality, function and whether or not your deflector comes into contact with the engine guard at full left lock position.

Thanks for any feedback, guys.

Here's a pic:

My wife had them on her 2011 Street Glide. They do not hit the engine guard. They were effective at reducing some of the buffeting but don't expect miracles. The ones on my Road King are far more effective.

I still have hers. They are black powder coated, very nice quality and nice powder coating. PM me if you want them, 30 bucks shipped. My wife traded her Street Glide for a Sportster.

Yes. I have the black powder-coated ones, the deflectors are nice and sturdy and the finish is pretty good but not immaculate. There's some orange peel to it and some contaminants trapped in the finish, but you have to look really close to see this. Yes they do hit the stock engine guard at full twist. They have enough give that they just flex, but it's annoying. I had planned on switching my guard out anyway, I have a Linbar on it now and the deflectors don't hit it. I believe all fork deflectors hit the stock guard, even the factory HD deflectors (EDIT- I mean the factory HD deflectors on other touring models, HD doesn't make them for the SG).

As far as function, I love them. Your results may vary because turbulence is affected by rider height, seat type, windshield type, helmet used, etc. But for me the deflectors transformed 70 mph freeway riding from a helmet-shaking, vision-blurring mess to a smooth, enjoyable cruise. FYI I'm 5'-8", wear a full-face with no faceshield, stock seat, Klockwerks 6.5 windshield.

Interesting. Mine hit before I reached full lock, I considered trying to bend them out but like I mentioned I wasn't planning on keeping the stock guard anyway.

I've got a pair I just mounted on my 2010 Street Glide. I have the ones that are compatible with the aux lights. They do hit the engine guard when at full lock position. Haven't done a long ride yet, but so far on the short rides, they do the job. I really didn't want to put them on, but on long rides, my neck would just be worn out at the end of the day from the buffeting.

Quality seems good but only time will tell for sure.

I have them on my 09 SG and am happy enough with their effectiveness to overlook the aesthetics. I'm 6' with C&C seat, 9" LRS ultra and half helmet.

The Desert Dawgs rain guards can cut a lot of that wind ... less hassle for sure and also easily removable. Might be worth checking out: http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/harl...n-rain-guards/
