For the guys with HF lilfts who need a little more height heres the deal. Im 6 ft 3in so with boots on 2in more so need a little lift ha ha get it. OK take the 3/8s bolt out of female side of ram (red) part where ram goes in and raise lift with floor jack until ram drops out its ok nothing hit the floor. Look at female opening and slide in 3/8s spacer just undersize of ram may 1/8in. Hold jack and pump lever so ram goes back in red receptical (female side) of lift. be sure that spacer stays flat against ram. when ram reaches home against spacer replace 3/8 bolt and tighten. Then jack lift up you will gain 4ins in height over stock. 31ins versus 27. Good luck
