Have any of you seen this http://lubricheck.com/?

I know lot of folks send their oil off for analysis, could this be actually worth it?

Yep, for $40.00 I would deff buy one if it's reliable. Would save a LOT of money with 3 cars and a motorcycle to check.

Having travelled around 3/4 million miles I am not about to start checking things just in case! Modern vehicles are far better made and more reliable than those I have driven or ridden in the past! So I won't be using one.

Changing the oil at regular and reasonable intervals seems like better insurance than this.

I'd agree, changing oil regularly is way to go

I am currently testing various auto and motorcycle oils in my bike. I will be sending them to blackstone for analysis to see for myself which oils perform best.
Once my testing is over I won't be spending any extra money on anything other than oil.
If you are questioning the oil in your bike I would just change it. No point in pushing it

regular oil change, you can tell a lot by looking at your oil bare eyed. http://www.boarsnestchoppers.com/services.html

However should a "magic sauce" oil cause damage, the results will show in all subsequent tests.

Air cooled motors have different needs than a motor oil designed for a car may offer.

Changing oil with the correct spec oils and filters at regular intervals ( sooner in dusty or high heat), will give the bike a better chance of a long service life.

and it really doesn't cost that much.

Testing is cool, but i sure wouldn't want to risk the hefty chunk of cash I laid down for a bike, just to see if I am smarter than the people who design motors and formulate lubes.
