I Know Someone Will Beat My Weird Saturday
Perfect weather Saturday morning for the start of my 300 mile round trip to Cape May, NJ. Lov'n my 2008 SE Ultra with 45,000 miles! Started out 8 a.m., and 2 miles from my home I lost all power, and the check engine light came on. I pulled over, turned it off but could not restart it until 5 minutes passed. I had to bag the ride, but I made it to my dealer 25 miles away. The fault codes indicated a problem with my throttle and a sensor. While I was waiting on my '08, I asked if I could demo a new touring frame as I had never ridden one - my only requirement was that it have ABS. To my surprise, they pulled out a 2012 Wicked Sapphire/Stardust Silver SE Ultra for me to test. When I started it I was shocked to see it only had 4 miles on the odometer. I guess they were clairvoyant. After lengthy negotiations about my trade-in value, etc, at 3 p.m. that bike was mine! I never thought when I left that morning that a new bike would be in my garage that evening. Weird and great! Looking forward to some crazier tales.

awesome, life is a box of cho-co-lates.
I was riding two years ago on a trip from Canada and back to Boston. Stopped into the Vermount HD in Burlington for some shades, mine had broke. I was riding a mertic at the time and my cuz a Fat bob ( I think) Well it was really my second time in an HD showroom and the Ultra limited caught my fancy. I was over come with awe. I just thought that bike was awesome. Over the next two days riding around northern New England all I could do was think about that bike. Got back to Boston in the after-noon, told my cuz, help me ride my yammie and I will ride the gold wing, I want that limited, lets see if they have one at Boston HD. Well they did and I traded both of them Johnny on the spot and got a blue and black limited. Done some mod work on it, but I fell in love with it and could not be happier still. The one thing I wish I never saw was the 2012 black street gluide. Man that is an awesome bike, but I feel like I will wait to 13 to see what the ultras will come out like. I am hoping for some more green and black from them like they did on the 11 sg with the cryptonite and black, man that wouldbe great.
Gongratulatons on your new scoot!!!! shinny side up!!!
