dont use pledge it'll shine up that denim black. i was using windex but didnt like the streaking it left. changed to a good aerosol window cleaner from my local glass shop. to this day 15 months since buying my bike its been washed with soap and water twice. im very **** on how clean my bike stays and after every ride it gets sprayed down with the window cleaner and hell even on long rides i carry a can of it and a micro fiber cloth in the saddle bag to keep it cleaned up.

Does your window cleaner contain ammonia? I thought I read Harley recommends stuff with ammonia, but not sure.

The dude at our HD Service Dept told me a little baby shampoo with water is the gentlest combo for denim paint. Sounded about right.

I use the HD denim paint cleaner. I tried Windex once but it left white streaks on the tank.

I use the Harley Gloss Cleaner in the spray bottle it works great for quick wipe downs, it's never hurt the paint at all and is what the suggested at the dealer, it doesn't streak like Windex and Harley Denim Cleaner does.

Soap, water followed by denim cleaner. My $7 bottle lasted over a year.
