Oh no, you mean you messed with the "Thou shalt NOT mess with the hex plug?
Maybe it will leak, maybe it won't, however your pecker will rot and fall off in three days.

Let's hope it doesn't leak! The OP put it in with red loctite. That stuff is tough to get out!
Any tapered IP fitting you want to use thread sealant on, not any type of loctite - unless they are making thread sealant now too.
removed mine and installed the sending unit for my oil temp gauge and couple years ago and it has never leaked, I'll be doing the same to my new +1.5qt oil pan when I install it on the bike in the next week or so.

I have always used something to seal the threads on tapered fittings, especially on my air lines/tools. I have used teflon tape (both white & yellow), rector seal 5, rector seal Tplus2, and permatex thread sealant.... the rector seal products have been my favorite, but I find them a little messy to use.
I saw a recommendation on Loctite Thread Sealant 545. It is easy to use and so far has worked as good as the rector seal products. It is my new favorite...
FWIW the '15 touring factory manual says 18-22 ft. lbs, Loctite 565.

I remove the hex plug and install an oil temperature gauge for less then $30.00. No oil leak and i get a real time reading of my oil temperature going back in to the engine.
