General Gratitude...
To start, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that contributes to this board... I wouldn't have been able to complete that mods that I have without your help and guidance, so for that I am grateful...
That said:
Just finished installing my new KW Ergo Back bars, and so far I love them. Haven't been out for a ride yet - still some other things to finish up, and it's pouring buckets right now.
I did not internally wire, but I did need to reroute the clutch cable. I felt it would be bound up in the new angle from the inner fairing, so I pulled it out.
Overall, without internally wiring the bars: about 3 hours (with beer and friend breaks). The 'trick' of swinging the inner fairing out of the way makes all the difference... I dreaded pulling the radio out (AGAIN)... those 4 bolts are a *)$_)#@_@%^er... for some reason.
Thanks again everyone... couldn't have done it without you!!!

GReat site, you dont have to pay, but I did. I felt it was the little I could do for all the infortmation I got for mods and such.
The down side is before I found this site I was not doing any mods to my bike, now this site has cost me a good dime. Really I dont care, I enjoy getting my mods set up of the year to return home and ride. I look forward it.
TOns of good poeple here doing the same thing, enjoying the passion of motorcycles.

I am SO GLAD you started this thread...been thinking about doing something like this myself....
Just wanted to say THANKS...to everyone on this forum for all of the useful information...the countless hours that guys spend adding and updating and posting and documenting what they've done..or what they've seen..
I just recently did an inner fairing swap, added Yaffe Monkey bars, new bushings and new brake and clutch lines..to my 2010 SG..
Being a newer bike..that cost nearly $20k with all of the complicted electronics i was a little nervous... but the encouragement that i got from the members here (and HD wanting $85 / hour) gave me enough confidence to tackle it myself..and i gotta say i hold my chin up pretty high while i'm out enjoying my upgrades..
Again, thanks everone, keep up the great work
Be well...ride safe
