I'm in agreement with some of the others; without know you budget/price range its hard to give an opinion. Example, a 2007 SG w/35k miles = 5k mile per year. I would surely consider that purchase if the sale price was within my budget. With that said, I notice that you live in Texas where the riding season is 12 months. So to find a bike like I used in my example may be a bit harder.
