2012 ultra driveline problem
#11
Thanks everyone for the input. I adjusted the clutch and that took care of the issue. Seems like fifth gear is the perfect storm for showing where a clutch adjustment might be necessary. I never could get it to slip in sixth though. Anyway, I adjusted it out and have since put another 750 miles on it and it's running like a champ. This was the first time I adjusted it. I was mistakenly under the impression that it was fine and dandy where it was so why monkey with it as part of a service interval. I've seen the light. Thanks again.

I have a 2012 Ultra Limited I bought new 5 months ago and now has 12,300 miles on it so it's still under warranty. I'm experiencing what feels like gear slipping in 5th gear at around 2800-3000 RPMs. It's not making any unusual noises and not happening in any other gear than 5th. If I take it easy, it stays hooked up but if I get on it a little bit, it's almost like the clutch is engaging as the RPMs kinda take off on their own.
I realize it's still under warranty but need to see if I can chase this fix down as much as possible myself since I'm not off the thing long enough for it to be down too terribly long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
