Default Front bearing install question

Using the Jim's install tool it says to seat the bearings to the torque of the axle nut. 60 to 65 foot pounds. Seems pretty tight to me. Also says to do left side then install axle spacer and repeat on other side. I would think you would use axle spacer installing the first bearing as well. What say you? I went by their instructions and the bearings would not spin by hand. Put the wheel back on the bike and it spun freely. Rode it about two miles and it was all cool to the touch. Just need some feedback from you guys to know if I should be good to go. I was worried the inner race might be spinning on the axle but surely would have had some heat if it were. What do you think?

Thanks.

You should be good to go, the left side bearing is bottomed out in the wheel & the right side is bottomed out to the spacer.

Could you turn yours by hand before putting the wheel back on the bike?

Yes I could, but I think you should still be OK, just check them every once in a while for peace of mind.
