I believe the factory HD type E in the newer forks is a 10 wt. I can't see going any lighter than that

I did mine with ATF, Dexron II I understand it is comparable to 10w, has anti foaming additives, seal conditioners and is more stable at different temperatures.
Nice change, less dive, smooth ride.
