Hate to hear that, Andy. I'm just now doing my 1K service and am planning on a road trip later this week. Looks like I'll be watching the voltmeter as much as the road.

Yeah, I owned a Goldwing before I bought my last three Harley's. Biggest aggrivation with the HD's, is having to put up with people gathering around my bike and telling me how awesome the paint is and admiring all my add on's. Seeing that big beautiful motor is also very disturbing along with that sound. Every brand has it's probs, but I don't miss that plastic VW look. Remember the Wings had overheat issues, tire wear issues, breaking frame issues. If it has **** or wheels, it will give you problems.
