The newer Hogtunes amp has a known issue with most powered hidden antennas. The Hogtunes are aware of this and are in the process of upgrading amps to some new technology that allows the amps and antennas to play happy inside the fairing together.
Give them a call and get on the list.

I sent an e-mail today to them. If I don't hear back in a few days, I'll give them a call. I like the amp, I just didn't like the antenna sticking up off the back of the bike. I didn't realize it was going to be such a pain. Right now my FM is pretty useless. Good thing I use an MP3 player 99% of the time.
Same issue here. I put a cheap autozone antenna behind my left saddlebag untill I get an upgraded amp. I made a custom mount that bolts to the lower saddlebag mount and you can barely see the antenna. total cost: $10

because for the reviews and a friend has one that he gets such good reception that he forgot it was hidden in his fairing.

I had the same problem with my original amp, try 4 different hidden antenna and the external with the same RF interference coming from amp. Contacted Hog tunes they sent new amp and and said I must use with external antenna. I tried the new amp same problem with hidden antennas but still picked some interference on the external not bad but i am looking to dump the whole set up for another manufacture Loved Hog Tunes speakers, and by th eway I sent my radio back to radio sound 3 times so it is not the radio.
