My buddy checked out an 07 Ultra this weekend with only 6,000 miles on it. He said the bike looked to be in great shape, but had a "tick" in 5th and 6th gears, barely noticeable, but still it was there. The owner said that a 5th / 6th gear "tick" is common on the 07 model Ultra and there is some kit you can purchase to cure it, but the "tick" is not a performance issue and does not affect the tranny or running of the bike.

If my buddy doesn't buy the bike I might be interested, but I need to know about this tranny noise first.

Have any of you heard of the 07 model having a common tranny "ticking" issue?
