Default Streached bags and rear fender

I just lowered my bike by 1 1/4 inch (bitchin baggers) and now would like to get streached bags and fender. Any advice on how low not to go to prevent scraping or other problems? Not a show bike, so doesnt need to be slammed, but just want to clean up the back end with some good looks.

Sorry bout not stating that earlier...

2009 EGC. Got the monkey bars and PYO tank, lowered shocks (by 1 1/4). Other small odds and ends.

Here is a photo of it before I got it lowered. I lowered it over the winter time, so actually I cant even tell by looking at it alone that its lower. Been wanting to get it next to by bothers street glide, its should 1/2 lower then his.

Other problem I see is parking at a bar where normally cars parallel park. We normally back into the parking spaces and right now nothing rubs the curbs. Is that a big "damit" issue with the streched and lowered fenders/bags?

I'm paying attention to this because I'm in the same boat. Bike is lowered, not a show bike by any means, but want that back end looking a little sharper.

So far no problems. The guys at top shop say if your not scraping floorboards there shouldn't be a problem.

Skid plates are available, to protect your bags. Run about $60. Bucks I think. Check out Milwaukee Baggers.

Was thinking of I could make a set something like that out of some diamond plate.
