Default Question regarding cams and PCV

I have a 2008 FLHTC and I had Andrews 37's installed, I have a PCV that I got retrofitted by Fuel Moto. After the cam install the imdy put in his map, bike runs ok but not as good as I wanted. I got a map from Fuel Moto and bike runs like crap with that map, it struggles to get to 3000 rpm then runs strong until it gets to 4800 rpm then it runs like crap, can't even get the rpm's to 5000. With the map I got from the indy it seems to struggle right off the line then again at 3000 rpm and really doesn't seem to pull that strong on up to 6000, when I shift into 2nd it runs better 3rd it pulls like a freight train. Here is my question, will the addition of auto tune help me out here? I do not feel like wasting money if it really won't improve anything.

I would give Jamie a call and see what he recommends. He will give you a new map or help you adjust yours. His canned map I had worked pretty good.

Auto-tune will fix you right up.

Auto tune will only work if the bike is close in tune. I would call Jamie again. and see if they can send a different map sometimes there is a lil human error from phone call to email received.

Personally I would stop wasting time and effort, take it to a good tuner and put it on a dyno, that should fix it right up!

Take the bike to a tuner who dynos/tunes with a PC-V.

That would be your best bet, but that will run you another $200-300,
but your bike will run great if your tuner is any good.

That's what I had to do, but had to go two different tuners to get the bike right.

I sent an email to Fuel Moto waiting for reply, the map my indy put in is close I am wondering if the Auto tune would do the trick. I don't know of a good dyno tuner around here and I don't feel like wasting money trying to find one.

Default PC-V Auto Tune

I just dig a big bore w/ heads on mine and the provided map was close but it stalled between ~ 2600 - 2900. I installed the Auto Tune Saturday, the lag is now gone.... Took me about 3 1/2 hrs to install it ( including pulling the tank off and one run for tools ). I could tell it was tuning it as I rode. Only thing left now is to get a few more miles on it and get a 1 run Dyno pull to see where she is at on the numbers... Of course then more thinking about maybe a little more cam
