On my third RG or RGU now. No doubt the short windshield look great IMO they suck for riding. I tried a few, even some of those so called recurve, double extra curve the ones with a bad sounding name and a gimmick IMO.. The only one that works well is the stock touring windshield . The full size. If all you do is short rides then the cool ones maybe fine but if you rack up the miles they need a real wind shield.

One of my co-workers just put one of these on his 2012 RG Ultra. It's the slickest thing in a windshield I have seen yet.

To start with I am 6'0" tall with a 34" inseam. I have been riding Road Glides since '04 so I am aware of all the issues with wind and buffeting. For the last couple years I used a 17" Cee Bailey's TRRSC light gray that worked pretty well. I recently added the HD wind deflectors that clip to the tank mounts and crash bar, that improved the wind management. Everyone was raving about Long Ride Shield's new Mako and they are on sale for $95.00 so I decided to try one. 13" tall, nice quality, no improvement over the TRRSC, but it did seem to be as good at wind management. So I decided to try the Cee Bailey's Cee Glide in a 14". It appears to be about the same as the SERG they make, but I am sure there is some difference, why would they make both. Anyway, did about 250 miles yesterday at speed up to 85 mph. I can honestly say that the Cee Glide works the best of the three, but it is only marginally better. Still, I could hear the radio well with it. It cost over twice as much as the LRS does, so if money is no object, Cee Baileys, if your looking for a deal, LRS. I will now experiment with Sancho's Wings to see if I can manage the wind even better.

RG Windshield
I see all this talk about windshields and many many people are bringing up a persons inseam as a deciding factor of the height of the windshield. However unless you stand up while you ride.....your torso height would come in to play much more then your inseam.
You can be short and have a long torso..or tall (all legs) and have a short torso. Example, I am 5'10" with 30" inseam and a 22" torso(base of neck to top of hip bone) my friend is 6'2" with 34" inseam and 20" torso.
My point is...sitting down, I am taller then my friend..therefore need a taller windshield, just something to think about.
