Talking BACK W/ UPDATE / repair at dealer & power vision ??????

I am taking my bike to dealer in the morning to check out why my battery light and engine lights are coming on after 15 to 20 miles of riding. My question is do I need to or should I take my power vision with me? I dont know if they will have any idea on the settings and all that so I wanted to ask those who have more experience than I.

Thank you guys!!

UPDATE: Just got back from the dealership. It was the voltage regulator. They did not care at all about my stage one mods. They did admit that there was a batch of regulators that was identified as bad. They also did not have one in stock as they are on backorder. What they DID do was find 2 of them at another shop (most likely an indy as there are no other close dealers) and sent a man to go get one for my bike and fixed it under warranty while I waited.

That being the case, GREAT service and a shout out to "Killer Creek HD in Roswell Ga !!!!!

I think I found a great dealer to develope a relationship with. Everyone was friendly and service was done far beyond my expectations. They even washed my bike!!! First trip to a dealer with ZERO dollars spent!!!!

Why don't you just check for codes yourself? That's what the dealer is going to do. Then at least you'll have an idea of what to expect when you get to the dealer.

If the codes you get have anything to do with engine management, there's a good chance they'll be blaming the reflash you did with the PV.

Your in a tough spot. You modified the engine management system with your tuner. Now you have a likely engine management issue, hence the engine light. Expecting them to take care of it under warranty is not a slam dunk.

That's why I'd want to know the codes myself before ever taking it to the dealer.

The power vision is a code reader, it will tell you on the screen what the code is and what it means, when you address whatever the issues are you can clear the codes with the PV too.

I’d bet a silver dollar, if I had one, that it is your voltage regulator being that your bike is an 2012. It would seem to confirm it if you had a voltage high or low code.
