Does anybody know if the Kuryakyn curved license plate frame for the FLHX is compatable with the HD Skull collection license plate bolts. I am unable to tell from the pictures. Thanks in advance.

 

I just installed mine today. I would say no They wont work.the screws are countersunk and flush when they are tight.

 

No they wont work the way it comes, you may be able to rig something up by retapping the holes though. I too have the 30 dollar pack of skull bolts...

It just depends on how bad you want it! First sorry for the poor photo quality. When we finally get some sun here I'll get a better one. That is a Kuryakyn curved license frame powder coated black. I drilled threads out of the back plate pushed the Harley skull license plate bolts through on one end of the frame, plate, and backing plate. There is just enough thread showing on the back to get the nut started.Once I had one end loosely assembled I forced the curve into the plate and put the bolts in the other end. I used some of the peel and stick padding provided on the end of the top two bolts because they are pretty close to the fender. Obviously all of this has to be done before installation on the bike.
