Default Radio won't play some mp3 songs

I have been creating mp3 CDs for my Ultra with iTunes since buying it in 2010. Now the latest CDs I've made with recently purchased songs converted to mp3 just skip through the songs and only play older songs. The disc plays on other players. I've tried different discs and different playlists but still the new songs won't work in the HD. I have searched Apple site for help but no results yet. Has anyone had this problem too.

The short answer is this. Any song that has album art with it in iTunes will get skipped by the HK radio. Check this thread for more info.

Why convert to CD's? Why not just run the MP3 through the radio?

Because if you put it on a c.d. your hand controls will still work and you can read the information about the song/group on the HK display. I used an MP3 player for a couple of weeks and found it to be nothing but a pain in the *** to me. I can fit over seven hours of music on a single c.d. and just find it much easier to use. This way I don't have to fumble around in my jacket pocket or whatever to change songs if I want to. And I also found that half of the time if the plug wasn't in "just right" I'd only hear it in mono.

This thread will get you 3 tanks of fuel for music on a CD. Select random play and kick back. Shows name of band on radio face. After 3 tanks if you can remember you have heard that song change CD. All hand controls work. Volumes are not all over the place. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-kardon-4.html

Fantastic. Thank you very much Airborne. I agree that I would much prefer to take a few MP3 CD's on a trip with control over all the play while I ride than hooking up my iPod and having to attach it in some manner and the hassle (risk) of working it while I ride.

Interesting that you came to your Ultra in a similar manner that I did. First some Goldwings, then a VTX that I traded in for my magnificent Ultra Glide. The others were great but ....

yes, had to edit alot of songs to remove Album art.
Also edited the song and artist title took a bit of time but whats displayed now is great.

There was a few songs that would just flat be skipped, Reburned at slower speed and worked out fine.
I burned mine using windows Media player and burned it as "DATA".

Average 8-9 hrs per CD now....
