Default 04 Road King Price and Mileage?

Found an 04 priced at $9700. Its non FI.. and has 18k miles.. Looks pretty damn clean.. How well is this priced.. 18k miles isnt alot of miles but is there any issues with it having a carburetor? I know that all depends on preference but just how temperamental can the cars be?

Price is likely a little high. But I think that the carb is actually a benefit. You can't get them anymore, new anyways. Mine carb bike sounds great (nice slow idle) and works great. The stock CV carb works great on a stage one bike. I even had mine up to 12,000 feet last year in the Rocky's and my friends were flabergasted that it ran perfect, not even a hiccup.

Find out if they have had the cam tensioners upgraded. If not that will be another expense for you, or a good barganing chip. Cost about $1,000 +/- to upgrade to the HD hydraulic upgrade (with labor). And while you are in there you might as well upgrade the cams ($1,500+/- including the tensioner upgrade).

Sounds like a good price to me. Carb sounds better than FI

Personally I think the price sounds fair...you could maybe still bargain it down some.

Offer $9250.oo you can always come up from there. My son has a 04 Road King with over
39k miles and a throttle cable is the only part he has replaced, with just regular maintenance.

That is a good price, 9,500 is low trade in 0n an 04 RK. I have a 04 RK custom and it is carbed way less hassle than efi in my opinion. 3 dollar jet or 400.00 to 1000.00 dollar fuel management system. No brainer to me.

I bought my '04 RKC with cruise and security this past Nov for $10,700. Came with a radio system and matching tour pak. Respectable shape with 10K on the odo. I probably paid a little too much but it had some nice upgrades so I'm satisfied with the price I paid. Anywhere in the 9500 range I think is fair. He has it priced right, if you like it, jump it on, it won't last long.

I bought an 01 RK last Oct. 11,000 miles and paid $10 grand. I was worried about cabuerator also, then a friend reminded me, " they've been making carbuerators for 100 years, nothing wrong with them. I'm in Ca. And the pricing is inflated here just a bit
