Default 2007 Ultra Classic

Hello, this is my first time visiting this forum. I am awaiting the delivery of a 2007 Electra Glide Ultra in Vivid Black. I wonder if someone can tell me exactly what pipes to use. The dealer mechanic suggest giving SE Race tuner kit, SE Stage 1 kit, and Vance & Hines slip-ons. I am looking for other suggestions. I am also thinking about Big Bore kit to knock it up to a 103.

i put on a SERT, AN AC and V&H Oval Slip-ons. Made a big difference in performance.

Thanks, that is the same thing that the dealer's mechanic stated. Does the Vance & Hines slip-ons drown out the radio or CB?

What about the SE performance pipes. I know that they are quiet, but are they good for performance?

Nope, I can hear the radio fine, even at 70 mph with the V&H Ovals

Sam, I have the V&H Oval Slip-Ons, and they provide the perfect combination of sound enhancement and power increase. Mine are mated with the SE Stage 1 intake and the V&H FuelPak. The mufflers are among the quieter aftermarket pieces out there, but they provide a richer, deeper tone than the stock setup. I don't have a stereo on my bike, but the pipes are not so loud that I can't hear myself talk or hear what's going on around me. They would be among the better choices out there.
