06 SE Slip Ons????

06 SE Slip Ons????
I have an 06 Road Glide and am looking for slip ons. I recently heard SE slip ons on an 07 and thought they were not much louder than stock. The parts department had a set of 06 SE slips ons left over, and have assured me they will be louder than the 07's. Does anybody have any knowledge of this, to confirm or discredit this. They have the new slip ons and end caps andoffered them at a 10% discount. I am also planning on the breather upgrade and download. Any comments would be appreciated.

RE: 06 SE Slip Ons????
you probably heard the new SE performance slip-ons that are street legal. they aren't much louder than the stock. what you want are the SE IIs. Think they have quit making them, but my dealer and probably lots of others have them. I put SE IIs on my WG, but opted to go with the V&H Ovals on my new UC. They are a bit louder than my SE IIs.

RE: 06 SE Slip Ons????
I had Banassi true duals which were too loud for my taste. I thought I should at least be able to hear the radio at 70mph. I switched to the 07 SE's and they are a little too mellow. The problem is my wife likes them. She can now hear the radio. I was looking for a set of 06 SE's to try and sneak on. I figured as long as they say SE on them the wife won't know the difference and by spring she'll have forgotten what they sound like. The 07 SE's are a nice change over stock if your looking to stay on the quiet side, but want a little more bite than stock.

RE: 06 SE Slip Ons????
I have a set of Supertrapp SE slip ons on my 06 Ultra, same as the SE Touring mufflers, allot louder than the stock cans, and now that Harley does not sell the SE II anymore, you can still get them thru Supertrapp, funny thing is they use the Harley part number also.
The exhaustbroke in around 2500 miles and seemed to be even louder after that

I'm running the SE slip ons as well. Bought them from a buddy who purchased the last set they had at the dealer before they stopped selling them and never got around to putting them on his bike. Love the sound, especially after a recent dyno tune they're really great.
