Putting emergency contact as ICE or 911 in your phone is good. But what if you are like me and keep your phone locked all the time? I keep a card in the wallet, one in my jacket, and one in the tour pak. Guess it comes from being in the military and placing dog tags in different places.

I'm tryin to get the relationships in your story straight and why the ex wife would get a call from her ex boy friend and why you would get a call from your ex wife?

For the guys that only have info in their phone, if you go down, there is no guarantee that your phone is going to be usable. Put something in your wallet also. I taped mine to the back on my insurance card. You know the hospital is going to want that.

LOL!! I have 50/50 custody of my boys. Today is the "switch" day. She called me and told me some things about the boys and said that Trev was going to be late to school today because she got a call that her ex went down on the way to Laughlin this morning. He's a great guy and had a beautiful bike. Ive met him many times and for his sake, I'm glad he's an ex, he got smart......he doesn't need her crap in his life!! LOL!!

In an accident paramedics really don't care who you are. They'll call in approx age and use approx weight for drug calculations. Paramedics will look for a wallet and/or cell phone and so will PD if you are still on scene and not a load and go. Police on scene will also run the plate of the bike and try to locate emergency contact that way if no wallet is located. Emergency contacts in the helmet are usually not a great idea because depending on the severity of the accident and type of helmet the medics may leave the helmet on to avoid tweaking the C-spine. They'll just tape it down to the backboard unless there is an airway issue where they will remove it.

Like a car accident, PD will go through your saddlebags looking for clues if they can't find anything else.

Simple business card program for the computer & I made up some Emergency Information cards. Ran off a set for myself & my wife. Contains contact information, & medications with dosage. Laminated one for each of our wallets. I update them anytime anything changes. Pretty simple really..............
