Default New battery but Pager Receiver II won't turn on

I noticed the other day that my Pager Receiver II wasn't working. It's been about a year since I used it so I figured the battery was dead. Changed the battery and the LED flashlight now works but the pager itself won't turn on no matter how long I hold the button down.

If anyone has any advice on how to get it working I'd sure like to hear it.

I would reprogram the pager, see if that helps.

How would I go about doing that given the pager doesn't turn on at all?

My understanding is that even if it fails to pair up with the alarm it should at least turn on.

Sorry, I was not reading and understanding what you wrote. Did you replace the battery with the exact same kind, I know some pagers recommend only the orginal battery. I know you said the light works so the pager should also, but who knows. If that fails, replacement is all I can think of.

Take a good look at the connections and make sure they are clean. I know the light works, but it might have a seperate connection. I have not taken mine apart to see how it looks on the inside. Other than that, a few raps against somethng that wont damage it might help if there is some dust or dirt in there stopping good contact.
