Saw a friend's RK today. He has the Nostalgic saddlebag guard rails on his bike and on the rear of each bar added a set of LED's mounted in a chrome housing. They were purchased from J&P Cycles and looked very neat, and worked well wired to the brake light circuit.

I put the Kuryakyn TRU Sphere LED kit on my 96. It had the 4 marker lights on it when I got it. It has the 3 flash then solid for brake and turn/brake. I'll add the Ultra Bar or leds on my plate later. It sends a message...

I wrote a paper on it, relative to the "third" brake lights on cars. Search the NHTSA web site. The research is out there. Fewer crashes and lives saved by addition of third brake light. Can't imagine it would be any different on a motorcycle. Few drivers will be confused about the meaning of three lights getting brighter.

I use the Kuryakyn kit.

thank you for the info. rdam Have thought more on the lines of just brighter would get the point across to other vehicles. All that blinkin might makem nervus. Had a rear brake switch go out on a custom bike and was easy to fix but started to like that there was no fluttering of brakes. brake only went on with front brake.(at inspection time I would press both breaks when mechanic asked to see rear brake switch hehe)

I put the had Turn signal conversion thingy on my bike. It came with red lenses and a module that you plug in under the seat that makes them work as run/brake/turn signals. I really like it knowing I have my *** lit up.

Voodoodrug,
I hit a wrong key and lost a treatise on rear enders...
I've been butt smacked twice, both in cars, one totaledand the otherhad a bumper in my Cherokke lift gate sitting at a stop light. My wife got hit last Easter on her trike in a right yield, by a woman who was more interested in making a quick turn than anything else. More of that 'if you flinch, I win crap'. $5400.00 and 11 weeks for repair. The very first thing I did for her when we got it back was to install a Signal Dymanics Smart Flasher on her Tour Pack brake lights.
IE; crap happens and ANYTHING I can do to increase to my chances of warning anyone behind me is well worth the inconvience to them.
Flashin' lights don't make you nervous unless you are doing somethin wrong. I flash my brake lights after I'm stopped too. Hope you don't have to whistle out your broken a-- someday. No one deserves that.

Ride safe, ride BRIGHT, and ride lookin back.

The HD Brake/Turn kit works well and is a five minute install. It plugs in under your seat and costs about 40 bucks.
Try $54.95!!!
Been awhile since I bought one...

Hey Iceheritage,

I see you have an 07 Road Glide. I was wondering what brake turn signal module you are using? I also have an 07 Road Glide and heard the Harley one does not work yet. Do you have a part number? I would appreciate the info.

Thanks
