Default LRS Ultra 6" windshield and Hawg Wings installed with pics

Just got my replacement LRS 6" Ultra replacement today and also got a set of the Hawg Wings. Both in medium tint

I already had a chance to test the 6" out with my first one so I already know how it works. At 5' 8" with a 29" inseam on the stock seat it comes to right at my upper lip. On the road it performs great. I did a few hand test and the flow of air goes at least 4" over the top of the shield. I get zero wind in the face from over the shield. Only lower air coming up. Which seems to be a little less than when I had the 8" Ultra. I am assuming because of less back pressure. So the 6" works like it should while still maintaining a sleek appearance. Also the 2-pouch fairing bag works fine with this shield.

I haven't had a chance to test out the Hawg Wings on the road and will report back when I do. Looks-wise I really like them. Some people say they don't flow with the fairing but I don't mind. I kinda like the straight bottom edge and the cut of them. They are a different look.

UPDATE:
Here is my review of the LRS Hawg Wings

Your missing the Chrome trim that fits where the windshield meets the fairing...

Yeah, I experienced the same thing when I put an 8" shield on mine (I'm the same height as you), the turbulence was a lot worse than the stock shield. I figured the same thing you did, the taller shield increased the negative pressure zone behind the windshield which drew up more of the buffeting air from under the fairing. The solution for me was fork deflectors and a Klockwerks Flare. Your batwing deflectors may take care of it, I didn't try those.

That's part of the Harley tax (IE, doesn't come with the bike)

Garemlin...you are going to cost me more money. I already have a set of Freedom wings, but love the products from LRS and almost bought them to see the difference

As I have said before I love helping other people spend their money. Apparently I have that effect on people. LOL
