How about the plus and minus of the bike.... HP, Torque, handling, how smooth is it, what does it sound like?

He probably owns a Harley by now or he's knee deep in diapers and won't get back into bikes for 20 more years. A lot of us started riding metrics many years ago. I've found that those who stay with the passion of riding will eventually get a Harley or give up serious riding. There comes a time when you don't care what others think, what they ride, what other's think about you. That time comes when you are truly happy with what you ride and hope everyone is that happy no matter what they ride. That feeling usually comes when you've been riding Harleys for a number of years though.
