Friend at work has a nomad, very pretty bike.&nbsp\\; Every accessory
known to man on it.&nbsp\\; He told me he has 24k invested in the&nbsp\\;bike.
My response to that was "Wow, 24k and it's still a kawasaki?"
I kid him about his bike, he kids me about mine.&nbsp\\;What matters is
that we both ride.

With a Harley, you'd ride it to the ground and still be able to get parts and spares easily.&nbsp\\; I had a metric before and after a couple of years it got stuck in workshop for an extended duration due to lack of spares for it.&nbsp\\; You don't get the options that you do with a Harley but the lower costs does allow you to keep changing bikes though.&nbsp\\; So to each his/her own.

Woah! I had a Yamaha roadstar without all the extra bags that one pictured has, and believe you me that was the roughest riding bike I ever had.. Whatever you do, stay away from mono shock bikes if you have any size to your azz at all. worthless for carrying any weight .

YO I have been on the road with two wheels for 30 years. All but one ride has been Harley, that time was in 2001 I went by a Yamaha Dealer and they had a special going $1.00 a day for a year and your good credit. I went in to look, I have to tell you I was pretty impressed by the "Road Star" 1602cc 5 speed. I had my credit checked and picked one up the next day. Sold my soft tail and paid off the Yamaha, it was (that is "was") a great ride. That bike could blow away any of my bro's when we went riding. BUT IT SUCKED WHEN WE STOPPED AT A BAR OR SOMEPLACE. You meet a lot of people, and when they say which bike is yours believe me you don't want to point to the YAMAHA. You don't wear yamaha t shirts, you don't go to yamaha open houses, you just plain old don't fit in. Your always telling everyone how great it runs. Well I couldn't take it anymore and now I am back on a new Harley SG and I can smile again. And hold my head high. OH ya and i dug out all my old T-Shirts.

I wrote a huge response to all the ignorant people who look down their noses at others for not owning a Harley. Get a life and learn how to spell you disingenuous morons, oh and grow up while your at it. Stupid forum! Fix it dammit!

Ride on!

Beep wrong answer. I one hundred percent wrench on my own bike. Always have always will. I had my Road King torn apart in the shop thirty minutes after I bought it, putting on Boom cans, PCIII and a stage one AC. It is pretty presumptuous of you to assume anything since you don't know me friend.

No rage. I would prefer to not be pigeon holed because I know how to conjugate a verb... Apologies to anyone thinking otherwise.
