The Nomad is one sweet ride... I know cuz I just came off of one... I had an 05' as well... Outfitted like your but I went even further and put an HD tourpack and HD batwing fairing on that was wrapped in leather... I put over 42K on it in 3 short years!!! Congrats you will love that bike as I loved mine... I took it out for a ride early this spring and the Bloom had fell off the Rose... So I started shopping for a new bike... I wanted ABS... Narrowed it down to a Goldwing or the HD... Believe it or not but I could the HD cheaper then the Wing!!! That is the reason I'm riding HD this time around... Who knows what I'll be riding in a couple of years!!!

Nice bike... Email me privately as I still have a few items for sale for the Nomad...

Looks like a nice ride, and if you don't care about resale, and you're happy, well who are we to say anything? My Grandpa used to have a saying, "There are two kinds of bikers out there son, those that ride Harleys, and those that wished they did".... Stay safe and enjoy the wind. BTW, I take at least two long trips each year with a group that I really enjoy riding with, and I'm the only one riding a Harley. I catch alot of crap from all of them, but deep down inside, everyone of em wishes he had MY BIKE! CCRyder

Justify it in your head if you want to. I think you bought it because of the price, period. You "settled". If you truly like the bike better than a Harley we probably won't be seeing you on HDforums anymore. After all, if you don't like Harleys that much anymore, why waste your time posting about them? Maybe you're trolling for members to join some metricforum?

This guy wants a Harley, can't afford one. Spend 100+ post wishing he has one. Still can't afford one and decides to start bashing Harley's. Now if there was a product that you didn't like, you buy one that you do and move on. Look at this guys last few post.

CheapSkater, it cost to be the boss.

There are also people who want metrics because they want their bikes to actually work so that would make 3 types of people. I would never wish to have a harley. That would be insane. Why would anyone wish to have a broken bike that vibrates and always breaks down. Why do you think all you see are trailers with harleys on them when you go to Daytona Bike Week? Because they all vibrate to ****.

1. People who have harleys
2. People who wish to have a vibrating piece of junk (harley)
3. People who have Metrics because they perform better and they actually work.

"Ride a harley, ride the best... ride a mile, and walk the rest."

I would rather ride than walk. Just my 2 cents.
I have never in my life even visited a rice forum. You don't like harley but you post on our forum.......[sm=icon_rofl.gif]Be real. You are here:

1) Saving for you Harley and getting ideas
2)Skater69 under a new login so it doesn't show your last login

I have never seen a Harley imitating rice a roni, that San Francisco Treat.

Okay, this is too funny - WHY DOES THE HELMET HAVE HARLEY ON IT in your picture (the one sitting on the pillion?)... Nothing worse than a metric pretending to be a Harley!.. I too picked up a Honda VTX and started to put chrome, pipes, etc. etc. onto it - finally realized that I was trying to make it Harley. Finally went and bought my Glide and could not be happier. I did keep my VTX though and it is nice to go back and forth depending on how I feel each day...

1st ride.. 02 honda valk interstate ( wanted a wing)
2nd ride.. 98 goldwing. had some personel problems. sold the wing.
worked on problems... problems gone... wanted a ride
3rd ride.. 06 kawasaki vn2000.. had a dream of riding a harley
bought 07 ultra classic. nice ride.
is it better then the wing ??.. its a toss up.
it was a dream to own and ride a harley before getting to old,
and regretting not getting one.
word has it, honda is coming out with a 2000cc goldwing (2009)
might investigate that
