Default J&m amp and Rokker speakers

I removed a set of Hogtunes speakers with the tweeter pod and installed the J&M 250 watt amp and Rokker speakers on my flhx and was expecting more out if it. Don't get me wrong it sounds good but just expected more. I don't know if I would remove my outer fairing and also remove the sticker that J&M installed over the adjustments and tweeked it a little more if I would gain anything or not. Just wondering what others have experienced.

I think you probabbly have the gains on the amp set wrong.

I run 4 Rokkers powered by a bazooka 200.4 amp. I can play my music so loud (at reasonably clean, non-distorted levels) that sometimes when I get bet back from a ride my ears are ringing...

All my friends use my stereo combo as their baseline test, ie, does their's sound as good / loud as mine.

I do that with 50 watts per channel, gotta believe J&M's 125 watts per channel would be louder if not cleaer...

Sorry to hear that. You might try adjusting the settings on the amp as you stated. There are several good posts on how to do that. Stereo sound is really subjective. Also remember, sounding good in the driveway doesn't necessarily transition to sounding good on the road. You're going to lose most of the bass going down the road. I did coat the insidde of my fairing cap with dynamat and, in my subjective opinion, my system sounds better to me. I wouldn't purchase the JM system because I think its overpriced but that's me. Lots of folks are happy with the JM setup and it seems like lots aren't. I think you tend to see more extreme posts on systems like this because of the investment involved in motorcycle specific systems. Good luck.
