While you're at at it, make sure that the rubber gasket, which runs along the faring seam, is properly in place!

Yeah.. I already tried to take off and re-align the windshield to no avail.. What rubber gasket are you referring to? Mine has never had one... maybe that is the problem...?

Anyways, once I head out to the shop this afternoon, we'll find out! Thanks everyone!

There's a black, U-shaped rubber gasket that should be noticeable at the point where the fairing halves meet the end of the windshield. Sometimes that gasket gets distorted when you mess with the windshield or faring.

Update time!

Just got back from my dealership, spoke with their main service manager. He said that by design, the fairings are not waterproof, and I have nothing to worry about. He said that the fairings inner components do get wet, and it's alright.

Looked at some of the other street glides and ultras they had sitting there, and none of them looked like the fairing halves to windshield were perfectly sealed. So, I guess that's just the way it is on the 2012 bikes?...

Thanks everyone!

Inner and outer fairing date back to 1996, nothing new for 12. Never been "waterproof" just like the electronics under the hood of your car!

I see that in all your posts here, you use BOLD font formatting. Why?
